The Maldives Crew Change March 22 '99

In Male, the capital of the Maldives, Cliff, Rob and Annie of Syzsol depart NANOU after a week of dcocumentary production - just in time to catch their convention in Sri Lanka where they will continue their work on "A Travellars Tale".

NANOU will now proceed through the Maldive Northern Atolls with just the skipper and  two happy-go-lucky divemasters from Male: Nazim and Hussein who hitched a ride at the last moment.

Hussein and Nazim are keen to dive the most remote atolls of the Maldives where their careers as divemasters have yet to take them.  An expedition is put together.   Our hope: to document the great whale sharks that are sometimes seen in these waters. 

Exploring with other travellars can be fun, but it is really a privilege to explore the Maldives with two expert divers who have plied these waters for a couple of decades between them. 

When the week of diving and underwater videoing is over, NANOU will take off for the Red Sea. Crew of one. Pray there is no mutiny on board...
